QC Inspections

Inspections verify product quality against your QC templates. They can be created manually or triggered automatically (e.g., on Damaged returns).

Creating an Inspection

  • Go to Quality → Inspections
  • Click New Inspection
  • Select product and template
  • Set quantity being inspected
  • Save — status is Pending

Conducting an Inspection

  • Open the inspection
  • Work through the checklist:
- Click Pass, Fail, or N/A for each item - Add notes for failed items
  • Click Submit Results

Auto-Triggered Inspections

SmartWMS automatically creates inspections when:

  • A return is processed with condition Damaged, Defective, or Destroyed
  • The inspection is pre-linked to the return for full traceability

Inspection Statuses

StatusDescription
PendingCreated, awaiting inspection
InProgressInspection started
PassedAll items passed
FailedOne or more items failed

After Submission

  • If no failures: stock is released
  • If Major/Critical failures: QC Hold is automatically created
